I heard that the committee meeting in Cumberland County was very informative. I would love to hear specifics from those who attended about the best practices being used in Cumberland and how we may be able to apply them in other workforce investment areas througout the state.

I reviewed the Ocean County Business Toolkit and would like to hear if our State and local economic development offices have developed similar toolkits. In addition, I'd be interested in our local WIB's and One-Stop Business Resources Centers collaborated or perhaps should collaborate in the development of a local business toolkit. Our white paper suggests uniform BRC policies and procedures for BRC's perhaps we should consider toolkit template development with a cross section of a small working committee to help draft the standards.

I have thought of creating a business toolkit for Passaic County. It is in the plans for next program year. Would love to have a unified toolkit with individual braning for each county. I will put this initiative on the agenda for the next Business Services Committee meeting.
